Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend – May 18 & 19, 2013
This region’s beloved Clare Valley Gourment Weekend is just around the corner and at Wild Saffron, we’re excited to once again be part of the fun!
We’ve teamed up with Eldredge Vineyards, at their picture-perfect venue near Spring Gully Road, to bring you the tastes of Mexico and South America. We’re exploring smoky and spicy flavours using local pork, beef, chicken and Spencer Gulf seafood. Team our delicious gourmet food with Eldredge’s award-winning wines and entertainment by Danny Hooper and you’ve got a great afternoon covered!
Open between 10 am and 4 pm
By the way, we’re serving cheese platters for dessert and will offer vegetarian options. Hope to see you there!

Paella! Greenslades chicken, Mathies chorizo, Kinkawooka seafood and arboria rice cooked in fragrant tomato and saffron stock.
Moorish Savannah lamb kebabs with fierce potatoes and aioli.

Wild Saffron will whet your appetite at the Clare Valley Races this weekend. We’re catering in the pavilion on Saturday, April 7 for Clare’s popular Easter race day. Here’s what’s on the menu:
- Chicken roulade with apricot and cous cous stuffing
- Sliced leg ham with chutney
- Vegetable quiche
- Prawn and pasta salad with curried mayo
- Tossed green salad
- Grilled vegetable and cous cous salad
- Crusty bread

It was a night to remember – for the food, wine, company…and belly dancing, of course! Wild Saffron’s Middle East Asian night was another fabulously fun Friday night gig, with our guests enjoying the tastes of Asia and sounds of Paul McLeod with the Swinging Cats of Casablanca.
